What If I Cannot Solve The Computer Hardware or Software Problem?
If you don't know how to solve your hardware or software problem (or don't even know if it's a hardware or software problem), try using System Restore (go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then System Restore) to restore your computer to it's last working state.
You can also try using diagnostic tools to see what problems your computer is having. For instance, another diagnostic tool besides Device Manager is the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (type in the Windows key+R and then dxdiag and press enter). Click on the different tabs in the diagnostic tool to see the tests you can run to see if you have a DirectX problem (which would affect any games you wish to play on your computer). Refer to the DirectX article coming soon if you do not know what DirectX is.
You can also use your computer's BIOS (article coming soon) to check for any of your computer's problems, memtest to check your computer's RAM, and there are many more diagnostic tools online that you can search for; dependant on your computer's problem and your preference for a particular diagnostic tool online.
