-Run the programs in compatibility mode by right clicking the file ending with exe (the executable), and then selecting Properties, and then clicking on the Compatibility Mode tab and clicking on "Run this program in compatibility mode".
-Get a faster and newer computer if your current computer still has any edition of Windows older than Windows 2000.
-Prevent the program from starting up when the computer loads (Quick Startup can help with this).
-Contact the software's documentation for help, or the software developer's website or tech support agents.
-Make sure that the program is updated and read the program's "readme".
-Repair/modify/uninstall and then reinstall the program to potentially fix any software problems you may have with the program.
